My Stationary Engines and related bits and pieces !
Many moons ago "When I were a Lad" in the later part of the 1950's
I began to develop an interest in Steam railway
engines,Perhaps living next to Bridge Street Crossing at the end of Pickering station had something to do with this.
This grew into an interest in Traction engines all manor of old transport and engineering machines
and I was always fascinated on my visits to the local traction engine rally by the Stationary Engines.
This has stayed with me and grown throughout the years and developed into an interest of all things Victorian
Steam, Petrol and paraffin anything Mechanical,dirty and smelly really. (but not yet Deisel)
In late 2009 I found myself in a position that I actually had some space where I could work on and store
some Stationary Engines. My health limits my ability to work on them but with a 2 ton lift crane, helping hands
and pacing time spent and workload to my state of health, I am begining to make some headway.
In April 2010 I joined Fozzers Forum - Stationary-engine.net, A better move I could not have made
Great bunch of people - Some good Humour and an absolute massive wealth of knowledge.
Anyway I thought it time I cobbled up a few pages on the subject with a few pictures and video clips along the way
(Helps me remember what I actually Have !!)
