GARBAGE - LIVE
MANCHESTER APOLLO THEATRE 6th of APRIL 2002
Saturday the 6th of April and I was heading to Manchester with my wife to see Garbage again, some 39 months since the last time
Taking to the stage around 9pm after a reasonable support act, We were greated by a different Garbage.
Not the Rough & Raw Garbage of 1996/7......and Not the more polished Garbage of 1999
But a Highly polished Super Slick 2002 Garbage Mean Machine.
Shirley's Voice was phenomenal hiting notes that never exsited in 1996 The music was so tight it was
unbelievable
And super fit from the moment she hit the stage to the moment she left her pace was staggering and left me exhausted from watching.
The set was excellent starting with some of the older songs that had audience were well whipped up,
then some songs from Beautiful Garbage,they all really worked well played live,
I will add the actuall set list in next couple of days
The set was not far short of 2 hours and the only song really missing was "Androgeny". This was more than off-set
by the inclusion of "Get Busy With The Fizzy" and the Rolling Stones "White Horses"
Only Complaint .. The mix was just a tad too loud with a bit of distortion now and again.. But hey what the hell !!!.
Set list was great "Stupid Girl" & "O.H.W.I.Rains" were show stoppers and I came out of there
Ear drums
destroyed internal organs bleading and
on the biggest non drug enduced high (The only ones I get) Ive had for years
GARBAGE ROCK... BUT THEY ROCKED BIG TIME LAST NIGHT
