NEWCASTLE CITY HALL - 03.03.06

Now as some of you may Know, I have been a Tull fan since I saw them in Scarborough in 1968,
( Under the influence of Mucho Alcohol )... Me not Tull.. well maybe them as well.
Anyway since then I have seen them live more times than I can remember
and I have always enjoyed EVERY show, admittedly some more than others..

Not only Have I seen them but I spend Half My life listening to live shows to add to the archive.
Now over the past couple of Years Even I was begining to think some shows sounded a little Tired.
Although I have heard recordings of Some of Last Years USA shows,
I wanted to wait until actually seeing the show live myself Before Commenting.

SO... Newcastle City Hall last Night...
I think Ian Anderson Has Pulled off an absolute master stroke with the addition of Lucia Micarelli To the show,
The decision to add her as a special Guest rather than as a support act is an absolute winner.
She brings a total breath of fresh air to the concert, Her own numbers fit well, Her style is spot on to blend with the band.
I think the treatment of Tull songs is excellent, The Moz 'Art Medley works well and Kashmir is a highlight in the show.
I know there are those who will disagree... But Bollocks You Are Wrong !!!.

Now On one Hand our Mr Ian has pulled off a triumphant Success.... BUT Beware,
If Ms Lucia can play the violin on one leg, Which she actually did a couple of times
and IF she can learn the whole Tull Lyric database, which I'd bet my life she can,
Well then. Uncle Ian's up shit creek and out of a Job and welcome to the stage Lucia Tull.....
Seriously,
An excellent Move adding Lucia, The show was One of the best and was Very well received by the Sell out crowd.

BRADFORD St GEORGES HALL - 07.03.06

I can only echo the above ten times over
Sell out show and although a reasonably quiet crowd The show went down a storm, I thought it was better than Newcastle
Lucia Micarelli was very well received - And I have only heard good comments on her addition
She needs to be a permanent member for the Tull Live Shows and it is not Just the Dirty Old Man aspect

Lucia is extremely musically tallented, Puts her Heart into her performance and Adds so much to the show
Now if someone could wake up Mr Noyce and perhaps buy him a stripey suite That would also Help !!.
